ArconaCore proved reliability of positioning

Last week we carried out a series of live tests of the Core of the system – “ArconaCore” packed into the demonstration mobile application.

ArconaCore proved reliability and the highest accuracy of positioning. Measurements of positioning accuracy were carried out in open-air locations at a distance of up to 50 meters. At a distance of up to 3 meters from the content tied in the AR location, the positioning error did not exceed 2 centimeters. Up to 15 meters the error was not more than 8 cm. At the elevation of 50 meters the deviation was not more than 50 cm.

SLAM algorithms showed stability in determining the location of a user with a mobile device, with trajectory displacement during movement being minimal.

The location scan time to capture spatial data on a 100 m2 site, i.e. a standard Digital Land site, was about 2 minutes. Georeferenced spatial data is necessary for the operation of positioning algorithms and for the creation of a three-dimensional location map. The scan function is built into the ARViewer and will be performed when the application is used. The principle of remote placement of digital content in the real world has been demonstrated. The virtual cube from the company’s office computer was moved to the territory of the Peter and Paul Fortress. The cube was found in the specified coordinates where it can be seen today.
